Who we are

Our Story

City Light Church is a non-denominational church in the Rochester Hills/Auburn Hills area. We are passionate about helping everyone discover next steps in their relationship with God. We launched City Light in 2015 and have seen over 1,000 people make a commitment to Jesus Christ! We are currently a portable church that meets inside of Oakland Christian School as we pray for our future building.

City Light ExistS to Help YOU...

Know
God

God wants to know you personally. More than just practicing a religion, He wants to have a relationship with you. Our weekend services are where we focus on that relationship. Whether you are new to faith, have questions, or have been a Christ-follower for years, our services are a safe place to learn more about what it means to Know God.

Find
Freedom

One of the ways God designed us to live in freedom is to have people around us, in our life, to help us in the journey. Connecting with others in City Groups is a practical and enjoyable way to meet people and find that life-changing community.

Discover Your Purpose

We are all an important part of God's plan in the earth, and our life will never make sense until we discover our purpose. The City Light Growth Track is designed to help you take steps in the important process of discovering your purpose. The Growth Track is available in-person or online.

Make a
Difference

This is God's ultimate plan for your life: to make a difference in the lives of others! And when we do, the Bible tells us we will experience great joy. Through our City Light Dream Team, we seek to connect every person to an opportunity to live out their "calling" by using their unique gifts and talents to serve others in the church and in our community.

Our Pastors

Pastors Jason and Nicole Rollin are the founders and Lead Pastors of City Light Church. They met at North Central University bible college, and both graduated with pastoral degrees. Jason and Nicole served as youth pastors in the Metro Detroit area for 12 years before starting City Light Church in 2015. Their lifelong mission is to see people from all ages find hope, life and answers in Jesus Christ. Pastor Jason is a passionate and humorous speaker with a desire to communicate God’s word so that every one is encouraged and challenged to take a next step in their relationship with Christ.
When not leading the church, Jason loves to coach his son’s sports teams and cheer on the Detroit Lions. Pastor Nicole also speaks monthly, helps with graphics & design, and leads our Womens' Ministry events. Nicole runs a photography business, too, and loves coffee! Jason & Nicole have been married for 21 years and have two amazing children, Christian and Eliana.

What We Believe

The  Holy Bible

We believe that the Holy Bible, and only the Bible, is the authoritative Word of God, written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Bible, in its original writing, is inspired, infallible, inerrant and completely relevant to our daily lives.

Trinity

We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.

The Father

We believe God the Father, the first person in the Trinity, is all powerful, all knowing, ever-present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, Holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist. God is good. He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.

The Son

We believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. On earth, Jesus Christ was 100% God and 100% man. He is the only man ever to have lived a sinless life. He defeated death in His resurrection so that we can have eternal life with Him.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, is the comforter that Jesus Christ sent to us when ascending to Heaven, after His death and resurrection. The Holy Spirit’s presence in our lives assures us of our relationship with Jesus Christ. He guides believers into all truth and convicts us of our sin. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and continually develops us to be more like Jesus Christ.

The Church

The church is a local community of believers unified through faith in Jesus Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying His commands, and seeks to bring the hope of Christ to the world. The church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Jesus Christ.
