Week 2 - Now, The Bad News
Before we can truly appreciate the Good News of the Gospel, we have to understand the bad news.
In Romans 1, the Apostle Paul confronts one of the most challenging truths in all of Scripture: humanity's rejection of God, the reality of God's wrath, and the devastating consequences of sin. While our culture often wants to redefine truth, Romans calls us back to what God has revealed.
In this message, we'll explore:
• What the Bible really means by the wrath of God
• Why people suppress the truth about God
• How rejecting God leads to spiritual darkness
• What Paul means by "God gave them over"
• The dangers of idolatry, moral inversion, and a debased mind
• Why understanding our sin makes the Gospel the greatest news ever
No matter how broken our past may be, Romans doesn't end with condemnation—it points us to Jesus Christ, who died for sinners and offers forgiveness, grace, and eternal life to everyone who believes.
